Introduction

Welcome to GOA TOURS.

These Terms and Conditions govern the booking and provision of sightseeing tours, private vehicle transportation, airport transfers, chauffeur services, tour guide services, tour coordination, and associated travel arrangements offered by GOA TOURS in Goa, India.

GOA TOURS is committed to providing guests with professionally coordinated travel services, comfortable transportation, courteous assistance, and an enjoyable sightseeing experience.

By requesting a quotation, confirming a reservation, making a payment, or participating in a tour arranged by GOA TOURS, the customer agrees to the applicable terms set out in this document and the specific conditions communicated in the booking confirmation.

Customers are advised to review these Terms and Conditions carefully before confirming their booking.

1. Description and Scope of Services

GOA TOURS provides sightseeing and travel-related services to individuals, families, corporate groups, and other visitors to Goa.

Depending on the selected package and written booking confirmation, the services may include:

  1. North Goa and South Goa sightseeing tours.
  2. One-day sightseeing excursions and customized tour itineraries.
  3. Private transportation by car, SUV, Traveller, Urbania, or another confirmed passenger vehicle.
  4. Airport, railway station, hotel, villa, and other agreed transfers.
  5. Chauffeur-driven transportation services.
  6. Experienced tour guide services, where specifically included.
  7. Tour coordination and assistance with travel arrangements.
  8. Assistance with arranging sightseeing activities, entrance tickets, river cruises, spice plantation visits, and other attractions, where agreed.

The exact scope of each service shall be determined by the quotation, confirmed itinerary, vehicle category, agreed price, inclusions, exclusions, and other written booking details.

Any additional service requested after confirmation shall be subject to availability, operational feasibility, applicable charges, and acceptance by GOA TOURS.

2. Booking Procedure and Confirmation

All bookings are subject to confirmation by GOA TOURS.

To facilitate accurate arrangements, customers must provide the correct travel date, pickup and drop-off locations, passenger count, preferred vehicle category, itinerary requirements, contact details, and any special requests relevant to the service.

Where an advance payment is required, the booking shall be treated as confirmed only after the payment and booking details have been verified and confirmation has been communicated by GOA TOURS.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the booking confirmation and notifying the company promptly of any discrepancy concerning dates, timings, prices, vehicle arrangements, passenger numbers, or services included.

Any amendment to a confirmed reservation shall be subject to written confirmation by GOA TOURS.

A quotation alone does not constitute a confirmed reservation unless expressly stated otherwise.

3. Tour Schedule and Commencement

The tour shall commence at the agreed pickup time and location specified in the booking confirmation.

Where the itinerary provides for departure after breakfast, guests are requested to be ready at the designated pickup point at the confirmed time.

Customers must ensure that all passengers are present and ready to depart to avoid unnecessary delays.

The scheduled duration of the tour shall be determined by the package booked and may be affected by traffic conditions, travel distances, attraction opening hours, waiting periods, weather, and other operational circumstances.

Delays caused by late arrival, extended sightseeing visits, or additional stops requested by guests may affect the completion of the itinerary.

GOA TOURS shall make reasonable efforts to adhere to the confirmed schedule but does not guarantee exact arrival times where circumstances beyond its reasonable control affect the journey.

Additional hours, extended vehicle usage, or services beyond the agreed package may attract additional charges, subject to communication and agreement wherever reasonably practicable.

4. Private Vehicle Transportation

Transportation shall be provided using the vehicle category agreed upon and confirmed at the time of booking.

Depending on the reservation, vehicles may include private cars, SUVs, Traveller vehicles, Urbania vehicles, or other suitable passenger vehicles.

GOA TOURS shall make reasonable efforts to provide a vehicle appropriate to the confirmed passenger capacity and agreed service requirements.

All passengers must comply with applicable transportation regulations, permitted seating capacity, and safety requirements.

Passengers must use seat belts where provided and required and must not interfere with the chauffeur’s driving responsibilities.

The vehicle shall be used solely for the agreed transportation and sightseeing purposes. Additional passengers, unauthorized route changes, or services outside the confirmed arrangement shall require prior approval.

Unless a specific vehicle is expressly guaranteed in writing, the exact make, model, colour, or registration number may vary, provided that any replacement vehicle is reasonably suitable for the confirmed service.

5. Chauffeur, Experienced Guide and Tour Coordination

GOA TOURS aims to deliver its services through a professional team comprising chauffeurs, experienced guides, and tour coordinators, as applicable to the confirmed package.

The chauffeur shall be responsible for driving and transportation arrangements. Where included, the experienced guide may assist guests with information regarding Goa’s cultural heritage, historical landmarks, religious sites, traditions, and sightseeing attractions.

The tour coordinator may assist with scheduling, communication, pickup arrangements, and coordination of confirmed services.

Customers should verify whether a dedicated guide or tour coordinator is included in their selected package, as these services may be offered separately from transportation.

Guests are expected to cooperate with the assigned team and comply with reasonable instructions relating to safety, timing, itinerary feasibility, and vehicle arrangements.

6. Itinerary and Sightseeing Arrangements

The tour shall generally follow the itinerary agreed upon and confirmed at the time of booking.

GOA TOURS reserves the right to recommend reasonable adjustments to the sequence of visits or travel route where necessary due to traffic congestion, weather conditions, attraction closures, access restrictions, safety considerations, or time constraints.

Any significant modification to the agreed itinerary shall, wherever reasonably practicable, be discussed with the customer.

Requests to add destinations, extend sightseeing stops, include shopping visits, or travel beyond the agreed route shall be subject to available time, vehicle availability, and additional charges.

Entry tickets, meals, parking, tolls, activity fees, and other expenses shall be included only where expressly specified in the booking confirmation.

Admission to attractions remains subject to the rules, operating hours, and decisions of the relevant authorities or service providers.

7. Religious Sites and Cultural Conduct

Guests visiting temples, churches, and other religious or cultural establishments must observe the rules and customs applicable at each location.

Modest attire and respectful conduct are strongly recommended.

Restrictions concerning footwear, photography, clothing, food, beverages, and access to designated areas must be followed as directed by the relevant authorities.

The consumption or possession of alcohol and meat shall be prohibited wherever the applicable rules of a religious establishment require such restrictions.

Guests must respect local traditions, religious practices, and the privacy of worshippers.

GOA TOURS expects all participants to behave respectfully throughout the tour and reserves the right to decline assistance with conduct that violates applicable law or site regulations.

8. Customer Cooperation and Behaviour

Customers and passengers shall cooperate with the GOA TOURS team to facilitate the orderly and timely delivery of services.

Guests are expected to:

  • Arrive punctually at the designated pickup point.
  • Follow reasonable safety instructions provided by the chauffeur or guide.
  • Treat the team, fellow passengers, and members of the public with courtesy and respect.
  • Avoid harassment, abusive behaviour, threats, or unlawful conduct.
  • Refrain from damaging the vehicle or third-party property.
  • Return to the vehicle at the agreed time following sightseeing stops.
  • Avoid actions that distract the chauffeur or compromise passenger safety.

Where conduct creates a material safety concern or substantially disrupts the service, GOA TOURS may take reasonable and lawful steps to address the situation, including discontinuing the affected service where necessary.

Any financial consequences shall be assessed in accordance with the confirmed booking terms and applicable law.

9. Safety and Passenger Responsibilities

GOA TOURS expects all passengers to comply with applicable traffic laws, vehicle safety requirements, and reasonable instructions issued by the chauffeur or tour team.

Passengers must not request unsafe driving, speeding, unlawful stopping, or any action that could endanger passengers or other road users.

Children must remain under the supervision of their parents or guardians throughout the tour.

Customers requiring child seats, accessibility assistance, or special transportation arrangements should notify GOA TOURS before confirmation so that availability can be assessed.

Guests must exercise reasonable caution at beaches, forts, viewpoints, religious sites, heritage properties, and other public attractions.

GOA TOURS may recommend avoiding a particular location or activity where conditions appear unsafe or access is restricted.

10. Personal Belongings and Lost Property

Customers are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings, including cash, jewellery, passports, travel documents, mobile phones, cameras, and other valuables.

Guests are advised to check the vehicle and sightseeing locations before departure and to avoid leaving valuables unattended.

Where a loss is reported, GOA TOURS shall make reasonable efforts to contact the assigned chauffeur or relevant service provider and assist with enquiries.

However, the recovery of lost property cannot be guaranteed.

Any limitation of the company’s responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings shall apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Pricing, Inclusions and Exclusions

All applicable tour prices shall be communicated to the customer before the booking is confirmed.

Pricing may vary according to vehicle category, travel date, duration, route, passenger capacity, itinerary, and additional services requested.

Unless specifically included in writing, the following items may be excluded from the quoted price:

  • Entrance tickets and attraction admission fees.
  • Meals, refreshments, and personal expenses.
  • River cruises and optional sightseeing activities.
  • Parking fees, tolls, and other route-related expenses.
  • Additional vehicle hours or kilometers beyond the agreed package.
  • Additional pickup or drop-off locations.
  • Optional guide services and other separately requested arrangements.

The written quotation and booking confirmation shall determine the inclusions and exclusions applicable to each reservation.

Any additional service or charge shall be communicated to the customer before acceptance wherever reasonably practicable.

12. Payment Terms

Customers shall pay the agreed advance payment or deposit, where applicable, to secure their reservation.

The remaining balance shall be payable within the period stated in the booking confirmation and, unless otherwise agreed in writing, before commencement of the tour.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that payments are made through the authorised payment methods communicated by GOA TOURS.

Payment receipts and transaction confirmations should be retained for reference.

Where an agreed payment is not received by the specified deadline, GOA TOURS may notify the customer and seek to resolve the outstanding amount. If the payment obligation remains unmet, the company may cancel or suspend the reservation in accordance with the agreed booking conditions and applicable law.

Payments made directly to third-party providers may be governed by their respective payment terms.

13. Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refund Policy

All cancellation and rescheduling requests must be communicated to GOA TOURS through an accepted communication channel.

The applicable cancellation charges, notice periods, and refund conditions shall be those disclosed and accepted at the time of booking.

Customers should review the specific cancellation policy included in their booking confirmation before making payment.

Rescheduling requests shall be subject to vehicle availability, the availability of other confirmed services, and any additional costs resulting from the requested change.

Where a cancellation arises from circumstances attributable to GOA TOURS, the company shall communicate the available options, which may include rescheduling, an alternative arrangement, or a refund as appropriate under the agreed terms and applicable law.

Approved refunds shall be processed within a reasonable period, subject to payment verification and the procedures of the relevant payment provider.

No provision in this section shall be interpreted as excluding a refund or remedy required by applicable law.

14. Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances

Travel schedules may be affected by traffic congestion, adverse weather, heavy rainfall, flooding, roadworks, public events, government restrictions, attraction closures, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of GOA TOURS.

The company shall make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays and identify practical alternatives.

Where the planned route becomes unsafe or impracticable, GOA TOURS may propose a revised itinerary, an alternative arrangement, or rescheduling, subject to the circumstances and applicable booking terms.

The company shall not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control except where responsibility arises under applicable law.

15. Health and Emergency Assistance

Customers should consider their ability to participate in the activities included in the selected tour.

Relevant mobility requirements or special assistance needs should be communicated before the tour wherever reasonably necessary.

Guests should carry any essential personal medication and emergency contact information.

In the event of an emergency, passengers should immediately notify the chauffeur or tour coordinator so that reasonable assistance can be arranged.

GOA TOURS shall make reasonable efforts to assist in contacting appropriate emergency services when required. However, the company does not provide medical treatment or insurance unless expressly agreed in a separate written arrangement.

Customers are encouraged to maintain appropriate travel insurance for their personal circumstances.

16. Third-Party Services and Attractions

Certain activities included in or arranged through a tour may be operated by independent service providers.

These may include cruise operators, spice plantations, restaurants, water sports operators, attraction authorities, ticketing agencies, and other third parties.

The availability, operating hours, entry requirements, safety conditions, and refund policies of such providers may be determined independently.

GOA TOURS shall clarify the extent of its role in arranging third-party services as applicable to the confirmed package.

Guests must comply with the terms and safety instructions of the relevant provider.

17. Liability and Applicable Limitations

GOA TOURS shall make reasonable efforts to provide the confirmed services with appropriate care and professionalism.

The company shall not be responsible for independent third-party acts or omissions except where liability arises under applicable law or from the company’s own acts or omissions.

To the extent legally permissible, the company shall not be liable for indirect losses arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or restrict any liability, consumer protection, refund entitlement, or other legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable Indian law.

18. Privacy and Customer Information

GOA TOURS may collect and use customer information as reasonably necessary to manage reservations, coordinate transportation, communicate itinerary details, verify payments, and provide customer support.

Information may be shared with assigned chauffeurs, guides, coordinators, and relevant service providers where necessary to deliver the booked services, subject to applicable law.

Customer information shall be handled in accordance with the company’s applicable privacy practices and legal obligations.

Customers may contact GOA TOURS with enquiries concerning the handling of their booking information.

19. Website Content and Intellectual Property

The information published on the GOA TOURS website is intended to describe the company’s services and provide general travel information.

Prices, schedules, vehicle availability, attraction details, and service descriptions may change from time to time.

The confirmed booking documentation shall govern the services agreed with the customer, subject to applicable law.

Website text, original photographs, branding, designs, and other proprietary materials belonging to GOA TOURS may not be reproduced or commercially used without appropriate authorization.

Third-party intellectual property remains the property of its respective owner.

20. Amendments to These Terms and Conditions

GOA TOURS reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions for future bookings to reflect changes in services, operational procedures, or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version shall be published on the official website with the relevant effective date.

For an existing confirmed reservation, the applicable terms shall remain those agreed at the time of confirmation unless the parties agree otherwise or a lawful change is required.

21. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws of India.

In the event of a dispute, the customer and GOA TOURS shall endeavor to resolve the matter through good-faith communication.

If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the parties may pursue the remedies available before a competent court, consumer commission, or other appropriate forum in accordance with applicable law.

Nothing in this section shall restrict a customer’s statutory rights or access to a forum available under applicable law.

22. General Provisions

These Terms and Conditions shall be read together with the confirmed quotation, itinerary, payment terms, and other written booking arrangements.

If a provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion shall not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision.

Any specific booking condition shall take precedence over a general provision only to the extent that the specific condition is validly agreed upon and consistent with applicable law.

23. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By confirming a booking or participating in a tour arranged by GOA TOURS, the customer acknowledges having had the opportunity to review these Terms and Conditions.

Customers agree to comply with the confirmed itinerary, payment obligations, applicable safety requirements, religious-site regulations, and reasonable instructions issued by the tour team.
